We’ll be offering a limited VIP Session Ticket (2pm – 5pm\, sold out) where 100 VIPs will be able to explore the tasting floor as wineries put forward their best sparkling wines and rosés to help usher in the summer season. After an hour of tasting\, join Patrick Suleski\, the sommelier and Beverage Director at Lock 50\, as he explains the differences with sparkling wine as you experience how Prosecco\, cava\, and Champagne taste alongside oysters\, shrimp\, fried chicken\, caviar\, and chocolate. Food will be available for purchase from Polar Park concession stands. \n\n\n\nWhat says “celebration” more than sabering your own sparkling wine? When Napoleon’s armies found success across Europe\, his Hussar cavalry would slice the tops off of bottles of Champagne with their sabers to kick off their victory celebrations – it’s even said that the widow Clicquot\, of Veuve Clicquot fame\, inspired the practice by giving complimentary bottles to aristocratic officers as they rode past her vineyards\, and who would promptly slice them open in an attempt to impress the wealthy\, young heiress. In the years since\, sabrage has become the most eye-catching way to open a bottle of bubbly – and we’re going to show you how! For $50 you’ll have your own experience in celebrating sparkling with for a good cause—100% of the proceeds for this will benefit the WooSox Foundation\, the philanthropic arm of the Worcester Red Sox. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSome sparkling wines and rosés include\, but not limited to\, selections from: \n\n\n\n90+ Cellars Lot 197 Prosecco Rose\, 2021 – ItalyLot 132 Provence Rose\, 2021 – Provence\, FranceLot 172 Lambrusco – ItalyLot 134 Moscato d’ Asti\, 2021 – ItalyLot 50 Prosecco – ItalyCape ClassicsKanonkop (Pinotage Rose\, 2021) – Stellenbosh\, SAChateau Haut-Blanville (Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre\, 2021) – Landguedoc\, FRDomaine P.
