WORCESTER—It’s been a tough week or so for the Worcester food scene. In a swift succession of announcements, Lock 50, Maker to Main, and The District Wood Fired Kitchen have revealed their closures.

Adding to the disheartening trend is the Greek staple Zorba’s Taverna in Webster Square, which disclosed on Friday that its last day of operation would be on Feb. 3.

“All good things must come to an end,” said the announcement on Facebook. “With that, we’d like to thank our wonderful customers, our dedicated staff, diligent vendors and everyone in between. We’re grateful for all of you and hope to see you one last time through Feb. 3. Thank you for the many years of support.”
