BARRE—A 20-year-old North Brookfield woman was arraigned in Worcester Superior Court on multiple manslaughter and motor vehicle charges stemming from a December crash that left two young men dead, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Faith O’Rourke faces a series of charges, including two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of manslaughter by motor vehicle, and two counts each of motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation and motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence. She is also charged with operating under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
The charges stem from a Dec. 26, 2025, crash on Hubbardston Road in Barre in which a BMW driven by O’Rourke left the roadway. Two passengers in the vehicle—Connor Post, 20, and Michael Publicover, 19—were killed as a result of the crash, according to the announcement.
O’Rourke was released on $5,000 bail with conditions that she have no contact with the victims’ families or any witnesses, refrain from driving, remain alcohol-free, and submit to random screenings.
The case remains under investigation by Barre police, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
