Hockey season is getting close enough to start making plans.
Single-game tickets for all 36 Worcester Railers home games are now on sale, with the club preparing to open its 2026-27 home schedule Oct. 17 at the DCU Center.
The Railers begin the home portion of their ECHL season with back-to-back games, facing the Maine Mariners on Saturday, Oct. 17, and the Trois-Rivières Lions on Sunday, Oct. 18.
Before that, Worcester plays a home preseason game Oct. 10 at 7:05 p.m. at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center. Tickets are $5, with proceeds benefiting the Captain’s Fund, which provides financial assistance and support to youth hockey families, according to the team.
The start of ticket sales comes as the Railers have spent the summer putting much of last season’s roster back together under head coach and general manager Nick Tuzzolino.
Captain Anthony Repaci returns for a sixth season in Worcester and his fourth as captain. The 31-year-old is the franchise’s career leader in games played, goals, assists and points, among several other categories. Repaci played all 72 games last season, finishing with 23 goals and 31 assists.
He’ll have plenty of familiar company. The Railers have announced 21 players under contract for the coming season, including returning forwards Matt DeMelis, MacAuley Carson, Lincoln Hatten, Riley Piercey, Riley Ginnell, Declan McDonnell, Dalton Duhart, Jordan Kaplan and Cole Donhauser.
The returning group on defense includes Michael Suda, Connor Federkow, Gabe Blanchard, Adam Samuelsson, Vinny Corcoran and Cam McDonald.
There are some new faces, too. Veteran forwards Tyson Fawcett and JC Campagna have signed with Worcester, along with forward Matthew Hobbs and Massachusetts native defenseman Will van der Veen. Goaltender William Lavallière, who appeared briefly with Worcester last season, is also under contract.
Beyond the hockey, the Railers have announced themes for all 36 dates at the DCU Center. The promotional calendar includes 13 giveaway nights, eight games featuring specialty jerseys and nine games in the team’s new Heart of the Commonwealth jerseys.
