  1. Get totally tubular at the Awesome ‘80s Prom: Break out the hairspray and leg warmers—104-5 XLO’s Awesome ‘80s Prom is back at Mechanics Hall on Saturday, April 26. The night kicks off at 7 p.m. with live music from ‘80s tribute band The Flock, followed by a headlining performance from pop icon Debbie Gibson, known for hits such “Lost in Your Eyes” and “Shake Your Love.” Dress in your best retro gear and dance the night away—this popular event always sells out, so grab your tickets now.
  2. Truth Be told: The Moth Mainstage returns to Worcester for a night of unforgettable storytelling this Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. at The Hanover Theatre. Featuring real people telling true stories live and without notes, this acclaimed show celebrates the humor, heartbreak, and humanity we all share. Tickets are $49, with discounts for subscribers—call 877.571.7469 for details. Recommended for ages 13+ (some stories may contain explicit content). Don’t miss this powerful, one-night-only experience.
  3. Feel the beat at WooDrum!: Shake off the week and join the rhythm at WooDrum!, Worcester’s monthly community drum circle, happening Saturday, April 26 from 7–9 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church. Whether a seasoned drummer or a curious newbie, all are welcome to this freestyle drumming session that’s all about good vibes, dancing, and community connection. Bring a drum if you have one (extras available), some friends, and $5 cash or Venmo to Ron-Kimball-2.
  4. A jolt of blues: Troy Mercy & Hadley Lloyd Live at WCUW: Electric blues duo Troy Mercy and Hadley Lloyd tear into Worcester with a show that fuses gritty tradition and fearless innovation. Catch them Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fantastic FrontRoom at WCUW, 910 Main St. $15 cash at the door; parking available across the street in the Clark lot. Mercy, who’s toured with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Booker T. Jones, teams up with Lloyd, a fresh force bringing fiery grooves and lightning-stage energy. Together, they push boundaries with sharp lyrics, tight hooks, and raw electricity.
  5. Dance Like nobody’s watching (except maybe the prom court): Relive your prom night — or make up for the one you missed — at Adult Prom this Saturday, April 26 at Husky’s Pub on Park Ave. starting at 7 p.m. There’s no cover charge, but bring $10 if you want to hit the buffet. Expect live tunes from Group W, Nobody Gets Hurt, and The Hipswayers, plus appearances by dapper dog Koda in a bow tie. Formal wear is optional but encouraged, and the Prom King and Queen will be crowned at 10 p.m.
