Clark MBA climbs in Fortune rankings

Full-time program rises 14 spots to No. 56 nationally in 2026 list

WORCESTER—Clark University’s School of Business has moved up in the latest national rankings from Fortune, with its full-time MBA program ranked 56th in the country for 2026.

The program rose 14 spots from No. 70 last year, according to the global media organization’s annual Best Business Schools and MBA Programs list. Clark’s full-time MBA is one of eight programs in Massachusetts to make the ranking and the only one in Worcester County, the university said in an announcement.

Fortune evaluated programs across 10 weighted categories, with student outcomes — including salaries, employment rates and graduation rates — accounting for 55% of the ranking. Academic quality and selectivity, program stability and scale, and cost were also factored into the methodology.

“We are thrilled that Fortune continues to recognize Clark’s School of Business and MBA program,” Dr. Jing Zhang, dean of the School of Business, said in the announcement. “We provide our students with a quality program that provides an excellent return on their investment. Our School of Business continues to add innovative offerings in emerging fields that incorporate new technologies and foster in-demand skills needed to succeed in business today.”

Zhang added that she was “especially proud of the passion, initiative and commitment of our business students, faculty and staff, as well as our successful alumni,” calling the school “a business-driven, socially focused institution.”

The university also recently announced that the School of Business is relocating this fall to the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center on campus. According to the announcement, the new space will include modern classrooms, technology labs and meeting areas designed to support student and alumni engagement.

“The Center is a premiere spot on campus equipped with modern-day technologies,” Zhang said in the announcement. “I anticipate this convenient, accessible location will be bustling with our business students and alumni this fall.”
