Here are five picks of things to do in Worcester this weekend:
- Get your green on at the 41st Annual Irish Fest! Celebrate all things Irish at the 41st Annual Irish Fest on Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church Hall. Hosted by AOH, LAOH, and the Fiddler’s Green Pub, this lively event features live music from Belfast Cowboys and the Brennan Brothers, energetic Irish step dancing, and stirring pipes and drums brigades. Enjoy delicious food, drinks, and plenty of fun—whether you’re Irish or just Irish for the day.
- The Best Little Drag Brunch in Worcester is back: Get ready for a dazzling brunch experience at the Best Little Drag Brunch in Worcester, hosted at the newly LGBTQ-owned Cocktail Garden (formerly Worcester Beer Garden). Enjoy an expansive brunch buffet and a premium drag show hosted by Victoria Obvious, featuring DaishaDore Famouz, Diva D, and Dale Lepage. DJs from DanceAway Sound keep the energy high all afternoon. Doors open at noon, and brunch starts at 12:30 p.m.
- Bold beats and Celtic rhythms: This one’s a foot-stomping, high-energy Celtic celebration. Songs for Ceilidh bring its unique blend of Irish, Scottish, and Canadian Maritime influences back to Boland’s on Water Street this Sunday from 3-6 p.m. With a mix of traditional melodies, modern storytelling, and infectious rhythms, this trio knows how to throw a ceilidh [kay-lee]—a party you won’t want to miss.
- Upgrade your space at the Worcester Home Show: Thinking about a home makeover? The third annual Worcester Home Show Expo takes over the DCU Center from March 7-9, bringing more than 100 vendors under one roof. From kitchen and bath remodelers to landscapers, home decorators, and financing experts, this event is your one-stop shop for home improvement inspiration. Meet industry pros, explore innovative designs, and find the perfect fit for your next project.
- Seeing red… and blue, and green at ArtsWorcester: Step into a world of color at the opening reception for Monochrome, ArtsWorcester’s latest members’ exhibition. This unique show pairs original works with inspiration drawn from the Fitchburg Art Museum’s collection, creating a vibrant call-and-response experience. Join the artists on Friday, March 7, from 6-9 p.m. at ArtsWorcester (44 Portland St.) and be there as curators select standout pieces to return to FAM. Free and open to the public, with a cash bar—because great art deserves a toast.
