WORCESTER—Hundreds turned out for the Downtown Worcester Winter Festival on the Worcester Common on Feb. 3. The event was presented by Downtown Worcester, which partnered with the Worcester Arts Council, the Mass Cultural Council, Bay State Savings Back, StreetPlus, and the City of Worcester.

Many enjoyed the Oval Skating Rink, and didn’t seem to mind a line at the skate rental booth, before skating on the rink with family and friends.

A sunny and not-too-cold day helped bring crowds to the event. Many took the opportunity to donate to the Support Woo Fridge, and in turn, received free skating and a complimentary hot chocolate and a cookie from Brew on the Grid. Kids and families were also able to make their own s’mores, and create crafts including laser-etched wooden snowflake ornaments and buttons in the Technocopia Makerspace inflatable igloo, along with Panduh Productions.
