WORCESTER—The Worcester Railers HC are bringing back the face of the franchise.
Anthony Repaci, the team’s longtime captain and all-time statistical leader, has re-signed for the 2025-26 season, the club announced Tuesday. The deal marks Repaci’s fifth season in Worcester and his third as captain. He is the first official player signing for the upcoming season.
The 30-year-old forward holds nearly every offensive record in team history: games played (219), goals (94), assists (107), points (201), and power-play production in every category.
“It’s hard to think of a Worcester Railers season without Anthony,” said Head Coach and General Manager Nick Tuzzolino in the team’s announcement. “He’s our captain and plays in every situation. He has a belief in this team and in this city that will help us achieve our ultimate goal. The fact that he is still having career seasons year after year makes us super excited to have him back.”
Repaci’s 2024-25 campaign was his best yet, leading the team in goals (29) and points (65), and finishing second in assists (36). He ranked 12th in total points across the entire ECHL and was named an ECHL All-Star for the first time in his career. He also finished second in power-play points (29) and fourth in total shots (241) league-wide.
Beyond the ice, Repaci continues to be a fan favorite and community leader. He was named the team’s Community Service Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and has helped the Railers earn their seventh straight nomination as the ECHL’s Community Service Team of the Year.
“Worcester’s become a second home for me,” Repaci said in the announcement. “I just love being around the city. I love playing at the DCU (Center) in front of the fans… I want to be a part of something special in Worcester and bringing a championship team and a winning team back to the city. I feel like I do owe it to the city and the fans.”
The Railers are expected to announce more signings in the coming weeks.
The 2025-26 season begins at the DCU Center with opening weekend on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19 against the Maine Mariners and Adirondack Thunder.
