- Worcester Renaissance Project gala kicks off a year of culture and creativity: Step into an afternoon of elegance and empowerment at the Worcester Renaissance Project and Market launch event on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 2-7 p.m. at Girls Inc. Worcester. This family-friendly fundraiser celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the African diaspora while supporting BIPOC artists, youth, and entrepreneurs. - Build the Ultimate Cheese Board: Get ready for a night of cheese, drinks, and fun at the Wachusett Brew Yard on Green Street this Sunday, Feb. 9, from 6-9 p.m. This hands-on workshop includes one pour, a palm leaf platter, all the ingredients, board accessories, and step-by-step guidance to craft the perfect charcuterie board. Bring your friends and enjoy a laid-back evening of good food and great company!
- Holy Cross winter homecoming brings big events and big prizes: Holy Cross is celebrating Winter Homecoming and the 10th anniversary of Power of Purple Giving Day on Feb. 7 and 8 with a weekend packed with athletics, giveaways, and fundraising challenges. Fans can support their favorite teams as they compete for big donation incentives, with up to $1 million in challenge dollars on the line. A “PURPLE OUT” is planned for all home games, including men’s and women’s basketball against Boston University and women’s hockey against Providence. Attendees can score exclusive “TEAM PURPLE” t-shirts at Saturday’s basketball doubleheader and enter to win a 55-inch TV at each game. Can’t make it?
