WORCESTER—In a move that reflects both a booming aesthetics industry and Worcester’s growing wellness scene, Pure Bliss Aesthetics has opened its doors at a brand-new location at 1100A Pleasant St.
Founded and led by Worcester native and registered nurse Joanna Vasiliadis, the medical spa is preparing for its official grand opening and open house celebration on Thursday, May 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
“This expansion is not just about space—it’s about continuing to invest in the people and the city that I call home,” Vasiliadis told the Worcester Guardian.
The expanded location marks a new chapter for Pure Bliss Aesthetics, which has seen consistent growth in recent years. The Pleasant Street space was chosen for its accessibility, serene setting, and the flexibility it offers to expand services and staff. With the new layout, Vasiliadis said, clients can expect an even more elevated experience in both comfort and care.
The medspa specializes in a wide range of aesthetic services—from cosmetic injectables like Botox and fillers to advanced skin treatments including radiofrequency microneedling and chemical peels. According to Vasiliadis, Pure Bliss is currently the only provider in Worcester County offering Sylfirm X, a state-of-the-art microneedling device that targets skin texture, pigmentation, and firmness with minimal downtime.
“I’m always researching evidence-based treatments that offer real, lasting results,” Vasiliadis said. “Sylfirm X stood out because it’s so versatile, even effective on hard-to-treat conditions like melasma. Clients consistently report smoother, firmer, more radiant skin.”
Vasiliadis, who holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is currently pursuing a master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner, said it was important to her to combine advanced clinical training with personalized care. “We treat clients not just for aesthetic concerns, but with a broader perspective on their total health and well-being,” she said, adding that the idea behind Pure Bliss is deeply relational and holistic approach.
“We don’t just offer treatments—we take the time to listen, educate, and build long-term plans with our clients,” she said. “We form close relationships, and many become like family.”
The new space allows Vasiliadis and her growing team to introduce services such as facials, waxing, and lash treatments, and to host more events that foster community connection. “It’s about creating a luxurious yet accessible environment where people feel safe, heard, and cared for,” she said.
The May 15 grand opening includes tours of the new facility, refreshments, giveaways, special event-only offers and a chance to meet Vasiliadis and her team.
As for the future, Vasiliadis envisions continued growth—potentially even a second location—and expanding Pure Bliss into a full-service destination for rejuvenation. “Beauty can boost confidence, but what’s inside—your mind and spirit—is where true wellness begins,” she said.
