‘Suspicious death’ at spa on Pleasant Street; arrest

Following a call to police just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, the officers who responded were flagged down by a man who led them to the unconscious woman. A Leicester man has been arrested

UPDATE: A 31-year-old man from Leicester has been arrested on an outstanding warrant, leading to the investigation of the death of a female at 383 Pleasant St. on Thursday.

On Friday, Nov. 24, Marcel Santos-Padgett of Leicester was placed under arrest at 4 Colombia Park in Haverhill.

Santos-Padgett had an outstanding arrest warrant for the offense of armed assault to murder.

ORIGINAL POST, Nov. 23, 11:40 a.m.: Police are investigating after the suspicious death of a woman at Angie’s Bodywork spa on Pleasant Street Thanksgiving morning.

Following a call to police just after 11:30 a.m., the officers who responded were flagged down by a man who led them to the unconscious woman, police said.

Officers rendered aid but the woman was declared dead by paramedics from Worcester EMS.

Scanner reports during the incident indicate the woman was lying at the entrance to the spa, bleeding and with “obvious signs of trauma.”

Police could be heard asking a dispatcher to rush the ambulance to 383 Pleasant St.

Worcester police detectives are investigating and are seeking the public’s assistance.
