WORCESTER — Police on Monday investigated an SUV near Green Hill Towers that matches the description of the vehicle connected to missing Worcester woman Joanna Brown, according to multiple media reports.
WCVB reports that investigators were seen working in the parking lot outside the Mount Vernon Street apartment complex Monday afternoon, where residents said the SUV resembled the one police had been searching for.
The station’s Sky5 helicopter captured images of officers photographing the vehicle and later placing a white tent over it before the medical examiner’s office arrived at the scene. The vehicle was later towed away.
Brown, 30, was last seen around 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, leaving her job at the Bean Counter on Grove Street after telling coworkers she had to leave for a personal matter, according to Worcester police. She has not been seen or heard from since.
Police previously said Brown may have been driving a 2025 gray Mitsubishi Outlander with Massachusetts registration 5GPN93 and could have been in the Holyoke or Springfield area.
Bean Counter owner Alice Lombardi told WCVB the disappearance is deeply felt by coworkers. “We miss her terribly,” Lombardi said. “We’re just, just asking anyone who knows where she might be or anything, please contact the Worcester Police Department.”
7News reporter Steve Cooper posted on social media that Worcester Police located a car of the same make, model, and color that Brown was last seen driving.

As of Monday night, police had not confirmed whether Brown was found.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Worcester Police Department at 508-799-8606.
