WORCESTER—CASA Project Worcester County is hosting its seventh annual Champions for Children celebration, a fundraising event and awards ceremony highlighting the organization’s work with foster-involved youth and honoring community supporters.
The event features cuisine from local multicultural restaurants and food vendors, a cash bar, live entertainment, and several fundraising opportunities, including a jewelry giveaway from Sachs Jewelers and a Mystery Reveal trip to Costa Rica, according to the announcement.
Champions for Children also serves as a moment to recognize select members of the CASA community for their role in advancing the organization’s mission to support vulnerable children. Proceeds from the event provide critical funds to recruit, screen, and train volunteers to serve as court-appointed special advocates.
CASA Project Worcester County is a nonprofit appointed by Juvenile Court judges to represent the best interests of children in complex cases of abuse and neglect. Volunteers—known as CASAs—are carefully screened and trained to advocate on behalf of foster youth throughout the county. The Worcester County program is the oldest and largest of its kind in Massachusetts and part of the National CASA Association.
Tickets are $150 for VIP admission or $100 for general admission. Bundled ticket packages are also available. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Sponsorship information is also available on the event website.
