WORCESTER COUNTY—The Heart of New England Council, Scouting America, has named Jason Pigg as its new Scout Executive and CEO, which was effective March 1.
A lifelong Scouter and Eagle Scout, Pigg brings nearly two decades of experience to the role, having started as summer camp staff before moving through leadership positions, including camp ranger, properties director, and camping director.
Most recently, he served as chief financial officer and director of support services at the Pathway to Adventure Council in Chicago, where his leadership helped drive membership growth and community partnerships.
Scouting has a long history of shaping young leaders, dating back to its founding in 1910. The Heart of New England Council continues that tradition, serving thousands of youth across Central Massachusetts. Pigg, who is also the father of two Eagle Scouts, is eager to build on that legacy.
“Jason is passionate about the positive impact that Scouting can have on the youth in our communities,” the council said in its announcement.
As he steps into his new role, Pigg and his wife, Lindsey, are relocating to Central Massachusetts, where he will focus on strengthening local Scouting programs and expanding outreach.
