WORCESTER—Silver Scream Con is back for its third year, and this time the horror-themed convention kicks off early with a special Double Feature Movie Night on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Off-the-Rails.
The official convention runs from Friday, Sept. 13, through Sunday, Sept. 15, at the DCU Center.
The Double Feature is hosted by culture journalist Ryan Downey and showcases Ice Nine Kills Presents: Welcome to Horrorwood and The Retaliators. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and seating is limited.
Throughout the weekend, Downey will moderate several panel discussions featuring major names in the horror world. Panels include Inked in Blood, Clownin’ Around, Talkin’ Chop, and 25 Years of Idle Hands. Among the celebrity guests are Spencer Charnas, David Arquette, Danielle Harris, Eli Roth, Jamie Kennedy, P.J. Soles, Bill Moseley, and many more.
In addition to panels, Silver Scream Con serves up autograph sessions, photo ops, and appearances by stars such as Jose Mangin, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Scout Taylor Compton, Ricky Dean Logan, Nadia Teichmann, Sean S. Cunningham, Ari Lehman; Derek Mears, Warrington Gillette, John Michael Graham, Lee Waddell, Quinn Lord, Bob Elmore, Amelie McLain; Lauren LaVera; Elliott Fullam, Devon Sawa, Elden Henson, Jordan Ladd, Bonnie Aarons, John Compopiano, Linnea Quigley, Cerina Vincent, Bob Elmore, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske.
Ice Nine Kills also headlines a live concert at The Palladium outdoors on Saturday, Sept. 14, joined by First Jason, In This Moment, Avatar, and TX2.
