WORCESTER—When Stephanie Ramey opened The Bra Shop during COVID, she saw a simple, stubborn need: women weren’t getting the education, options, or fit guidance they deserved. What began as The O Shop in Tatnuck quickly grew into a destination—so much so that this fall, Ramey moved into a new 2,400-square-foot storefront at 303 Main Street.
“The Bra Shop began as a project I launched during COVID,” Ramey said, “when I had a bit more time and saw a clear gap in the market: women lacked both quality bra options and real education around proper fit. As demand grew, we began exploring new locations and ultimately landed at our new space at 303 Main St. in downtown Worcester.”

The shop offers professional fittings, inclusive band and cup sizes (30–48, A–O), high-quality lingerie, natural-fiber sleepwear, loungewear, and giftables. But what draws most customers, she said, is the personalized attention.
“Customers come to us most for our expert fittings and the personalized experience we provide,” Ramey said. “Many visit because their clothes don’t fit properly, they’re experiencing discomfort, or they’re simply ready to invest in better support.”
Ramey said what sets the boutique apart is both the expertise and the atmosphere.
“Our team is trained in professional bra fitting, and we offer one of the most comprehensive size ranges in the region,” she said. “Just as important is the atmosphere we’ve created. Our shop features a pink ceiling, feminine touches, and a warm, classy aesthetic that makes customers feel instantly comfortable.”

This weekend marks The Bra Shop’s first Black Friday and Small Business Saturday downtown, and Ramey is leaning into it. Shoppers earn “bra bucks” valued at 20% of their total purchase, receive a complimentary laundry bag while supplies last, and be entered into raffles—including one with brand partner Evelyn & Bobbie, where customers can win a free bra and panty.
“We’re encouraging people to come downtown and explore the small businesses in the area,” she said.
Holiday visitors also find natural-fiber sleepwear, cozy robes, ultra-soft loungewear, slippers, and seasonal gift items.
Ramey hopes more people come to understand the importance of being fitted regularly.
“I wish more people knew just how important regular bra fittings are,” she said. “Our bodies are always changing, and the right fit can completely transform comfort, posture, and confidence.”
She’s also energized by the new location.
“My favorite part about running a business in Worcester is being part of the revitalization happening downtown,” Ramey said. “I absolutely love our new space and the huge windows—they have transformed the shop and brought so much light and energy into what we do.”

On Saturday, her team hopes first-time shoppers immediately feel that warmth.
“I hope they immediately feel welcomed and experience the passion we have for what we do,” she said. “Our goal is for every person to discover items that truly work for their unique shape and leave feeling more comfortable and confident.”
The Bra Shop is open Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Complimentary parking is available behind the Palladium via MLK Blvd. Worcester is offering free street parking Saturday, and Sundays are free year-round.
We’re rolling out small-business profiles all week leading up to Small Business Saturday — and we’ll keep highlighting Worcester’s independent shops throughout the holiday season and beyond.
