WORCESTER—If you’ve ever dreamed of filling your tank for pocket change (hey, everybody’s got different dreams), Thursday morning might be your moment.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Polar Park branch, UniBank is offering regular-grade gas for just 10 cents per gallon from 7-10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Chop Chop Convenience Gulf Station in Kelley Square. Drivers can pump up to 30 gallons at the event, according to the bank’s announcement.
UniBank, headquartered in Whitinsville and describing itself as a “premier mutual community bank,” opened its Canal District location in December 2024. In the statement, the bank said the branch has “become a cornerstone of the neighborhood, and Worcester at large.”
CEO Michael Welch and UniBank employees are scheduled to attend Thursday’s promotion.
The giveaway is being held at 185 Madison St. in the heart of Kelley Square — a place where a gas price starting with a decimal point is usually something seen only in old magazine ads.
