Attendees can once again take in exhilarating performances by talented artists, including traditional live band music featuring West African drumming from Crocodile River Music and Central African Rumbianfunk music from Nkumu Katalay and the AfroCongolese Dance Troupe. The event also showcases vibrant dance performances that reflect the continent’s diverse cultural expressions.

In addition, the festival boasts a marketplace offering authentic African crafts, clothing, and artwork, providing a unique opportunity to explore and purchase treasures from various African regions.

“We are thrilled to once again host the Worcester African Festival, a testament to our commitment to celebrating and promoting African heritage in Massachusetts,” said Jermoh Kamara, president of MOAD, in a statement. “This event not only showcases the richness of our culture but also fosters unity and understanding among communities,” she concludes.
