WORCESTER—Aside from the dogs and pet owners in the neighborhood perhaps, many are excited for the much-anticipated 4th of July tradition returning to the city.
Fallon Health, in partnership with Discover Central Mass., is thrilled to announce the schedule for Worcester’s Annual Independence Day fireworks celebration.
This free, family-friendly event kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 28, at East Park (Cristoforo Colombo), located at 180 Shrewsbury St., Worcester. If it rains, the fun moves to June 29.
“The collaboration that makes Worcester’s Independence Day Celebration happen is truly a testament to how we can best serve the community when we work together,” said Christine Cassidy, chief communications officer, in a press release. “We’ve been supporting this patriotic celebration for 30 years and are proud to keep the tradition going in 2024. We commend Discover Central Massachusetts for all they are doing to bring this incredible event together and hope to see everyone there with their picnic blankets and chairs!”
Schedule:
4:00 p.m.- Park opens
4:30 p.m.- Food court and fun for kids (splash park, playground, and more)
5:00 p.m.- Entertainment and live music from Silver Arrow Band
9:30 p.m.- Fireworks
