Clark’s game design program earns top rankings

Undergraduate program ranks No. 3, MFA program No. 5 on The Princeton Review’s list

The Princeton Review rankings considered more than 40 data points across academics

WORCESTER—Clark University’s game design programs are ranked among the best in the world, according to The Princeton Review’s latest rankings.

Clark’s undergraduate program placed No. 3 on the Top 50 Schools for Game Design list, while its master of fine arts program ranked No. 5 among the Top 25 Graduate Schools for Game Design. Both programs, offered through the Becker School of Design & Technology, were also ranked No. 2 in the Northeast.

Paul Cotnoir, dean of the Becker School, said in the announcement that the rankings reflect Clark’s strong faculty, curriculum, facilities, and industry connections. “Clark is unique among game design schools in that it integrates game design with business, data science, psychology, and social impact fields,” he said.

The Princeton Review selected schools for the 2025 lists based on a 2024 survey of administrators at 150 institutions worldwide. The rankings considered more than 40 data points across academics, faculty, technology, and career prospects.

The Princeton Review has ranked game design programs since 2010 with input from an advisory board of faculty and industry professionals.
