League of Women Voters launches election guide/site for Worcester

WORCESTER — Worcester voters now have a new tool to prepare for the 2025 municipal election.

The League of Women Voters of Worcester Area has launched its nonpartisan voter guide through VOTE411.org, a website designed to make election information simple and accessible. Resources are available in English and Spanish, including information on what’s on the ballot, where candidates stand on the issues, and where to vote.

Using the guide, residents can view side-by-side candidate responses to questions posed by the League. So far, 25 of the 33 candidates for city council and school committee have submitted responses.

“It is critical that voters make their voices heard in every election, including the upcoming municipal races,” said Erin Jansky, president of the LWV-Worcester Area. “VOTE411 is the nation’s premiere online election resource that provides voters with the resources they need to make informed decisions.”

Jansky added, “The LWV-Worcester Area is pleased to provide this important, nonpartisan resource to Worcester voters. We encourage voters to visit VOTE411.org to make a voting plan and feel prepared to cast their vote confidently.”

The 2025 Worcester municipal election will determine the offices of mayor, city council, and school committee for the next two years. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Early in-person voting begins Saturday, Oct. 25, and runs through Friday, Oct. 31, at the Worcester Public Library. Residents must be registered at least 10 days prior to casting a ballot.
