Worcester Artists Reimagine Voter Stickers in “Create the Vote” Campaign

WORCESTER – The City’s Cultural Development Division and Election Commission have announced the winners of the “Create the Vote” campaign, which tasked local artists with designing new voter stickers for Election Day. After a three-week campaign and a public voting period on Facebook, 10 designs by nine Worcester artists were selected from over 1,500 votes cast.

The new stickers, available for both in-person and mail-in voters, will feature the message “My vote counts” in five languages—English, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, and Twi—highlighting Worcester’s diverse population.

The following artists are selected winners

  • Bryson Parsons
  • Caelin Olson
  • Ciara Barber
  • Eamon Gillen
  • Glenda Soto
  • Jorgea Nico
  • Katya and Greg Opperman
  • Sarah Thompson
  • Thien Tam Phan

Each winning artist will receive a $300 prize. The designs include elements of Worcester’s iconic landmarks, such as City Hall, the train station, and the Burnside Fountain. Olson’s sticker reflects Worcester’s skyline and civic pride, while Kate and Greg Opperman incorporated “Turtle Boy” in a fun twist. Youth artist Nico used Massachusetts’ official state dog, the Boston Terrier, to add a playful election spirit.
