WORCESTER—Worcester police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing Thursday night on Main Street.
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers were called about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 to the area of 544 Main St., where a stabbing victim was found after flagging down a passerby for help. The passerby contacted police and Worcester EMS.
Police said the victim had stab wounds to the torso and was transported to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
A second individual, identified as 40-year-old Tailor Albert Quinonez, was also located near the scene, police said. According to the release, Quinonez had a wound to his forehead and a laceration on his hand.
After interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, Worcester police detectives arrested Quinonez on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder, the department said.
