WORCESTER—Journalist, author and humorist Mo Rocca visits Worcester State University on Dec. 3 for a public talk and book signing, presented in partnership with the Museum of Worcester.
Rocca, an Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning correspondent, is known for his blend of history, curiosity and deadpan humor across television, podcasting and print. The event, called “A Conversation with Mo Rocca – Sharing Stories that Matter,” features the writer speaking on “stories that matter” spanning history, innovation and culture, according to Worcester State’s announcement.
Rocca is joined onstage by a Worcester State faculty member, representatives from the Museum of Worcester, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. A book signing follows the discussion.
Along with his work on CBS Sunday Morning, Rocca hosts the long-running “Mobituaries” podcast, exploring the stories of “favorite dearly departed people and things.” His books include “Mobituaries: Great Lives Worth Reliving” and “Roctogenarians: Late in Life Debuts, Comebacks and Triumphs,” both New York Times bestsellers. He began his on-air career as a correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
The Dec. 3 event is free and open to the public. It takes place at 6 p.m. in Worcester State’s Sullivan Auditorium. Registration is required; the university directs attendees to the event page for details.
