WORCESTER — Nativity School of Worcester has named longtime higher-education fundraiser Donna Stock as its new vice president of advancement, a hire that comes as the tuition-free middle school looks to build on recent growth and a major fundraising campaign.
Stock, who most recently served as vice president of advancement at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, will begin her new role Monday, Jan. 26, according to an announcement from the school. She spent 18 years at WPI and has held advancement positions at Anna Maria College, the Seven Hills Foundation and Tufts University.
In a statement included in the announcement, Nativity School of Worcester President Tom McKenney said Stock brings “deep expertise in fundraising, campaign leadership and donor engagement,” calling her experience an asset as the school continues work tied to its $25 million “Access & Impact” campaign.
“Donna’s experience leading complex advancement efforts and successful campaigns will be invaluable as we build on the momentum” of that initiative, McKenney said in the release.
Stock has been active in professional and civic organizations across the region, including service on boards tied to advancement and development work, as well as founding roles with the United Way’s Women’s Initiative and the Seven Hills Foundation. She also served as an elected official in Grafton for 12 years. A Grafton resident, Stock is a graduate of Colby College, holds a certificate in executive leadership from Cornell University and is a certified fundraising executive.
Founded in 2003, Nativity School of Worcester serves students from under-resourced communities and offers a tuition-free, faith-based middle school education grounded in Ignatian values. The school enrolls students of all faiths and emphasizes small class sizes, an extended school day and year, and a co-teaching model.
In addition to its academic program, Nativity operates a graduate support program that provides ongoing mentorship, tutoring and career support through high school, postsecondary education and beyond. The school, which was originally all boys, expanded in 2024 with the launch of the Julie Power Girls Division.
