WORCESTER—Veterinary Urgent Care Center (VUCC), considered a pioneering urgent care facility for pets in the county, has announced that construction started for its newest location in Worcester. Set at 70 Gold Star Blvd., this new facility offers essential urgent care services for dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
According to the announcement, VUCC serves as a critical link between general practice veterinarians and 24/7 emergency centers, providing timely care when pets need it most. The Worcester hospital will be the seventh in the VUCC network, joining existing locations in Braintree, Plymouth, Easton, Saugus, Dedham, and East Providence, RI.
The Worcester location is expected to open in November.
“We’re thrilled to begin construction and move closer to bringing high-quality pet care to the Worcester area,” said Christie D’Andrea, DVM, founder and CEO of VUCC, in the press release. “Central Massachusetts and Worcester are vibrant, growing communities, and we’re excited to become part of what makes this area special.”
VUCC will operate seven days a week, with hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Walk-ins are welcome daily. Pet owners can also book appointments or check hours online at veturgentcare.com.
