WORCESTER—Quinsigamond Community College has tapped Worcester entrepreneur and educator Rocky Knight to lead its newly launched Auxilium Center for Entrepreneurship, a resource hub designed to help students, staff, and alumni turn business ideas into reality.
The center — funded by the Cliff & Susan Rucker Foundation and supported through a partnership with Auxilium Worcester — will offer mentorship, one-on-one consulting, workshops, and training to guide aspiring founders through the process of launching and scaling a business.
“By the time students graduate, they’ll not only have a degree, they’ll be ready to launch a business,” Knight said in the announcement, emphasizing her goal to connect QCC’s community to Worcester’s growing entrepreneurial scene.
Knight, who holds an MBA from Johnson & Wales University and a BA in global citizenship from Becker College, brings a mix of business acumen and community focus to the new role. Her background includes serving as director of the CWE-Central MA Women’s Business Center and founding Own Your Legacy Ventures LLC, which helps small businesses reach sustainability through branding and strategic planning.
“Rocky brings robust experience as an entrepreneur and an educator, and she is well-connected within the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said QCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Kathy Rentsch in the release. “We are thrilled she’ll be working with QCC students and alumni to bring their ideas forward.”
Knight also founded the For One Child Foundation, a nonprofit providing educational resources and digital access to more than 1,500 students in Massachusetts and rural Jamaica. Her work has earned recognition from across the state, including the Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award (2024), Worcester Magazine’s Woman to Watch (2025), and honors as a Massachusetts Commonwealth Heroine (2025).
“Entrepreneurship is a new type of job security,” Knight said in the release. “I’m happy to be in a space where we can help people move forward and ensure entrepreneurs have access to the right resources.”
