WORCESTER—On Friday, Abby Kelley Foster Charter School seniors hosted a heartwarming holiday event with their youngest peers—kindergartners. The gathering, filled with festive activities, aimed to build connections across the school community and foster a sense of belonging for all involved.

The seniors planned the event thoughtfully, including writing letters to kindergartners, crafting seasonal decorations, and enjoying a holiday movie together. For the youngest students, the day offered a magical glimpse of older role models actively engaging with them, strengthening their sense of community within the school.

For the seniors, the event was more than just a holiday celebration. It provided an opportunity to mentor the younger students and leave a lasting impact. By participating in and continuing this school tradition, the seniors passed along lessons of kindness and community to the next generation.

According to organizers, this holiday tradition didn’t just mark the season—it created lasting memories for both groups and reinforced the school’s values of connection and care. Through crafts, shared stories, and a spirit of giving, the event brought students together, reminding everyone of the joy found in simple, meaningful interactions.
