The Bra Shop signs long-term lease in downtown Worcester

A downtown Worcester storefront that began as a temporary experiment is now becoming a long-term commitment

The Bra Shop has signed a five-year lease, with an extension option, at 303 Main St. after what the business described as strong growth during its first six months downtown. The specialty lingerie boutique relocated to the larger Main Street space in November 2025 following several years operating as The O Shop on Richmond Avenue.

The move more than doubled the store’s footprint and marked a broader shift for the business, which has focused increasingly on personalized bra fittings and expanded apparel offerings.

For downtown Worcester, the commitment also represents another small but visible retail investment along Main Street at a time when city officials and business owners continue pushing to build foot traffic and attract destination-style shopping downtown.

“We’ve been incredibly pleased with our first six months on Main Street,” said Stephanie Ramey, president of The Bra Shop. “Our business has grown impressively, new customers are discovering the shop, and we are attracting customers from sometimes an hour or more away for our services. We are proud to play a small role in the development of downtown, and hope other retailers consider opening in the area in the near future.”

The Bra Shop specializes in professional bra fittings and carries band sizes ranging from 28 to 48 and cup sizes from A to O. The business says the larger location has allowed it to expand fitting room capacity, broaden merchandise displays and better accommodate customers seeking specialized sizing and support options that can be difficult to find through traditional retailers.

In addition to bras, the store also offers lounge and sleepwear, shapewear and other accessories.

“We are still getting to know our customers and tailoring our products to their needs,” Ramey said in the release. “This space has allowed us to expand our offerings and the number of women we can serve. As we build on that momentum, we’re actively evaluating opportunities for a second location in a new market.”

Since opening downtown, the business says it has seen growth from both returning customers and new shoppers traveling from across Central Massachusetts and beyond.

The business first opened in July 2021 under the name The O Shop before rebranding as The Bra Shop during its move downtown last fall.
