WORCESTER—Worcester’s beloved lingerie boutique, The O Shop, is getting a new look—and a new home. The store is closing up shop at its Richmond Ave. location on Oct. 4 before reopening in mid-October at 303 Main St. under its new name, The Bra Shop, more than doubling its space from 1,100 to 2,300 square feet. The move comes as part of a major expansion and rebrand, reaffirming the shop’s mission to help women across New England feel confident, supported, and celebrated.
“We have incredible women that work at the shop,” Owner Stephanie Ramey said. “They care so deeply about helping our customers. They listen, provide advice, and offer exceptional service. What we do is life changing. It’s good for the mind and body, and incredibly emotional. We’ve had women tear up after finding a properly fitting bra because they had been in pain or thought something was wrong with their body. It’s never your body that’s off – it’s the bra.”

The new Main Street location, Ramey told the Worcester Guardian, gives the shop incredible visibility and the chance to create window displays that truly showcase its work. “Beyond the square footage, Main Street is personal for me. I see so much promise in downtown Worcester…A mentor of mine often says, ‘activity breeds activity,’ and that’s exactly what downtown needs.” She noted the area’s emerging cluster of small businesses, including Sweet Jane’s Designer Consignment, Deadhorse Hill, Joe’s Albums, Crust, and Worcester Wares, as a sign of downtown’s potential.
Ramey also discussed the challenge of almost leaving Worcester altogether. “It was a combination of factors. I wanted to make sure we could keep our entire team intact…They are the heart of our shop. Beyond staffing, walking away just didn’t feel right to me. I’ve spent much of my professional life advocating for Worcester and sharing why it’s a great place to live and do business. I’ve always meant that, and I want to be part of the city’s growth.”
Known for its inclusive size range—cup sizes A–O and band sizes 30–46—The Bra Shop continues to offer complimentary fittings, shapewear, loungewear, and wellness products. Ramey notes that there is actually a true art to bra fitting. “We teach our staff that fitting is both a physical and a mental skill,” she said. “It takes practice, patience, and compassion. Every body is unique…It’s never just about a number on a measuring tape—it’s about understanding shape, density, and lifestyle, and then matching those factors to the right products.”

Looking ahead, The Bra Shop expands into cup-size swimwear in 2026 and plans to evolve its seasonal offerings gradually based on customer needs. “The difference now is that we finally have the room to adapt; we’ve been bursting at the seams on Richmond Ave for quite some time,” Ramey said. She also sees the shop as a potential holiday destination, offering gift certificates for bra fittings alongside robes, loungewear, and other wellness-focused items.
The new location will operate as a six-month pop-up, with hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, plus complimentary parking behind the Worcester Palladium.
