Webster Five has appointed Sutton accountant and entrepreneur Tracy LeMaire to its board of directors, adding a financial professional whose career has spanned public accounting, consulting and small-business leadership.
LeMaire is the founder of Evolve CPA Consulting, a firm she launched in 2021 to help businesses navigate accounting and financial challenges in the cannabis industry. She currently serves as a consulting chief financial officer for cannabis companies throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast.
Bank officials said her experience working with businesses in complex and rapidly evolving industries made her a strong addition to the board.
“Tracy has built her career helping businesses navigate complex financial terrain, and that kind of experience is exactly what we want informing our vision,” Webster Five President and CEO Brian Westerlind said in the announcement. “Tracy’s values and leadership experience are reflective of Webster Five’s, and we look forward to the meaningful impact she will have on the Bank.”
Before launching her own firm, LeMaire spent 11 years at AAFCPAs, where she led financial statement audits for privately held companies in industries including manufacturing, technology, healthcare, nonprofit organizations and professional services.
LeMaire said she was drawn to Webster Five’s longstanding ties to the communities it serves.
“Webster Five has deep roots in the communities it serves, and that’s something I admire,” she said in the announcement. “I look forward to contributing my experience and perspective as the Bank continues to grow and innovate.”
Webster Five Board Chairman Steve Charniak said LeMaire’s background will strengthen the bank’s ability to serve local customers and organizations.
“Tracy is a wonderful addition to our Board,” Charniak said in the announcement. “Her expertise will enhance the value we provide to Worcester County residents, businesses and nonprofits.”
LeMaire holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Bryant University. She is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, where she serves on the organization’s Cannabis Committee and Consulting CFO Roundtable.
In 2018, she received the Massachusetts Society of CPAs’ Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award.
Outside of her professional work, LeMaire volunteers as a coach for Girls on the Run Worcester County and lives in Sutton with her husband and two daughters.
Founded in Auburn, Webster Five provides personal, small business and commercial banking services throughout Central Massachusetts.
