- Meryl’s Safe Haven Rent Party is a party with a purpose: Make a difference while having a great time! Meryl’s Safe Haven Rent Party Fundraiser is happening Saturday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. in the White Room. This unique event supports young adults aged 18-24 transitioning out of foster care and facing housing and resource challenges. Enjoy delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, auctions, raffles, and a vibrant community atmosphere—all for a meaningful cause.
- Savor Blues Jambalaya with The Chris Fitz Band: Experience a blend of swing, jump, Chicago, and Texas blues with funk, soul, and British blues rock influences at The Chris Fitz Band concert in WCUW’s Fantastic Frontroom. This power trio takes the stage Saturday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. The WCUW Frontroom is located at 910 Main St., Worcester, with parking available across the street in the Clark University lot.
- Craft friendship at the library: Teens ages 12-18 are invited to the Frances Perkins Branch of the Worcester Public Library on Friday, Jan. 24, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to make friendship bracelets. - Celebrate 150 Years at the Worcester Historical Museum: Join the Worcester Historical Museum on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as they celebrate their 150th anniversary with the unveiling of the redesigned Fuller Gallery of Industrial History, new visitor access and lobby, and refreshed gift shop. Explore special exhibits, hands-on activities like valentine-making and candlepin bowling, and meet historical figures such as Frances Perkins and Major Taylor.
