WORCESTER—Emily Chandler, EMS programs manager for Community EMS and program director at NCTI Massachusetts, will be honored at the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life Awards in Washington, D.C.

She is one of 33 Global Medical Response (GMR) Stars chosen for their exceptional service. Chandler was selected for her commitment to training new EMTs and paramedics in Worcester, particularly through the “Earn While You Learn” program, which helps meet the growing EMS demand.

“Helping recruit and train the next generation of EMS professionals in Worcester is a privilege,” said Chandler in a statement. “Being named a Star of Life affirms that our work is making a difference in our community.”

The Stars of Life program celebrates EMS professionals who have gone above and beyond for their patients and communities. As GMR President and CEO Nick Loporcaro expressed, honorees embody the dedication and commitment required in EMS, recognizing Chandler’s contributions to the field and her impact on first responder training and retention.
