WORCESTER—From children’s classics to gripping adult novels, Worcester readers showed a wide range of literary preferences in 2024, with over 640,000 items circulated at the Worcester Public Library (WPL).
“At Worcester Public Library, we take pride in connecting our patrons with books that inspire a love for reading—whether it’s a blockbuster bestseller, a cherished children’s book series, or the latest installment in a popular graphic novel series,” said Jennifer Marien, Deputy Director for Adult Services, in a press release.
Here are the top 10 most borrowed books at WPL in 2024 for children, teens, and adults:
Top 10 kids’ books:

According to the library’s announcement, the diverse selection demonstrates the community’s enthusiasm for both celebrated authors and graphic novels. “This year, with over 640,000 items circulated, we are thrilled to share the top 10 checkouts of 2024 for adults, teens, and children,” Marien said.
