The awards are presented by Five Star Professional, which evaluates wealth management professionals using what the organization describes as “objective, third-party criteria,” according to the announcement. This year, nearly 5,000 Boston-area wealth managers were considered, with 449 selected.

Bartholomew & Company, headquartered at 370 Main St. in downtown Worcester, has operated since 1994 and provides financial planning and wealth management services to individuals and organizations throughout the region.

According to the announcement, advisors pay a fee to use Five Star Professional marketing materials, and the recognition is not intended to predict future performance or client experience.
