WORCESTER—Seventeen young women from across the state will take the stage at the Hanover Theatre on Sunday, June 22, to compete in the 25th Anniversary Miss Massachusetts’ Teen Competition.
The pageant begins at 3 p.m. and marks a milestone year for the event, which serves as the official state preliminary to the Miss America’s Teen Competition. It’s also the first time the teen pageant is being held in tandem with the Miss Massachusetts competition, which runs June 20–21 at the same venue.
This year’s teen contestants will vie for scholarship awards and the chance to represent Massachusetts at Miss America’s Teen in Orlando, Florida, this September.
The event features performances by reigning Miss Massachusetts’ Teen Maggie Leighton of Leominster, who presents her national competition talent—Paint It Black—alongside appearances and talent segments from the 2025 contestants. According to the pageant announcement, the production is led by Jennifer Freeman, with choreography by Amanda Narciso Ponte, Miss Massachusetts 2013 and a former Miss America contestant.
Miss Massachusetts’ Outstanding Teen 2017 Carly Fisher will emcee the competition, which will also welcome a number of visiting titleholders from across New England, along with several past state winners.
Organizers say the event aims to promote “scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement” among teen girls ages 13 to 18. Contestants will be evaluated across five categories: personal interview, talent, evening wear, onstage conversation, and lifestyle and fitness.
This year’s 17 contestants represent communities from across the Commonwealth and attend a wide range of public and private high schools:
