WORCESTER—Worcester police are investigating the deaths of two women found in a Main Street apartment on Saturday afternoon.
Around 1:06 p.m. on Aug. 24, officers were called to the location after receiving a report of two deceased individuals inside the residence.
Police discovered the bodies of two females who had sustained multiple puncture wounds. Worcester EMS responded to the scene and pronounced both women dead.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths are currently under investigation and police are searching for William Rodriguez as a person of interest.
Rodriguez previously served prison time for the 2004 stabbing death of his wife at the Beechwood Hotel, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Rodriguez attacked his wife, Carmel L. Rodriguez, 34, at the hotel where they both worked, despite a restraining order against him, reports the Telegram, which added that prosecutors said the attack stemmed from a failed marriage and his fear of losing custody of their three children.
A relative identified to WCVB-TV News the stabbing victims as Sergia Acosta, 76, and her daughter, Ana Maria Martinez, 58.
WCVB-TV also reports that Rodriguez was in a relationship with one of the victims, and they had been arguing. Just before the bodies were found, a 911 call reported the argument, and a note in Spanish was later found in his apartment saying, “Women who make mistakes will receive what is coming.”
