WORCESTER—The Department of Public Works & Parks is kicking off its Fall leaf collection program on Monday, Nov. 4. This annual initiative runs for approximately four to five weeks, weather permitting, and aligns with the trash collection schedule.
Residents are advised to rake leaves to the street’s edge before collection begins in their area.
Key dates to note:
- No Leaf Collection: Veterans Day (Nov. 11) and Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28).
- Drop-off Sites: Residents can dispose of leaves at the following locations:
- 1065 Millbury St. (brush and small branches accepted)
- Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturdays & Sundays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- 300 Chandler St.
- Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- 299 Clark Street
- Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To ensure a smooth collection process, streets will be posted in advance to inform residents of the upcoming “no parking” ban. Cars left on the street during collection days may be ticketed. For more information and to view the complete collection schedule, residents can visit the city’s website.
