WORCESTER—Harpoon Brewery has partnered with the College of the Holy Cross to introduce the Holy Cross Hazy IPA, the official craft beer of the Holy Cross Crusaders.
This new brew makes its debut at the Harpoon x Holy Cross Beer Garden at Fitton Field and in retail locations statewide this September.
According to producers of the new drink, Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA boasts a six percent ABV and is packed with bold hops and rich flavor, making it a fine choice for cheering on the Crusaders during the 2024–2025 academic year.
“As a Worcester native and someone with deep ties to Holy Cross, I couldn’t be more thrilled about this collaboration,” said Harpoon CEO and co-founder Dan Kenary in an announcement. “We’ve crafted a beer that’s perfect for celebrating both on campus and wherever the spirit of Mt. St. James takes you.”
The Holy Cross Hazy IPA will be available at Fitton Field concessions just in time for the Crusaders’ football home opener against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m.

Fans eager to get an early taste can do so at Holy Cross’ annual kickoff event on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 5:30 p.m., when the beer will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to all fans who register in advance.
“Partnering with Harpoon Brewery is a perfect blend of two New England institutions,” said Holy Cross President Vincent Rougeau. “We’re excited to bring this new craft beer to our passionate Holy Cross community.”
The Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA will be available in 16 oz 4-pack cans throughout the season at the stadium, as well as select retailers, bars, and restaurants in the Worcester area.
