WORCESTER—Popular horror convention Silver Scream Con drew 5,000 blood-thirsty movie fans to Boston’s North Shore in each of its first two iterations, but is bringing the big show, called Three-quel,” to Worcester in the fall.
Silver Scream Con is coming to the DCU Center on Sept. 13-15, the venue announced this week.
“After two really successful years, Silver Scream Con is back, but this time in the heart of the Commonwealth at the DCU Center in Worcester,” says convention curator and Ice Nine Kills (INK) frontman Spencer Charnas in the announcement. “This year’s lineup sees us joining forces once again with some of my all-time favorite horror actors and directors from fan-favorite cult classics. But, as with all sequels, we’re gonna up the body count.”

Stars coming to Silver Scream Con 2024 include Danny Trejo, who played the title role in the Machete films, and Massachusetts’ own Eli Roth, known for directing “Cabin Fever,” “Knock Knock,” and most recently the 2023 remake of the cult classic “Thanksgiving.”
Jamie Kennedy, famous for his role as Randy Meeks in the Scream franchise and his many characters in The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, joins the event along with David Howard Thornton, known for his portrayal of Art the Clown in the Terrifier franchise.
Other stars from the Terrifier series attending Silver Scream Con this year include writer and director Damien Leone, Lauren LaVera, and Elliott Fullam, recognized for his co-lead role as Jonathan Shaw in both Terrifier 2 and 3.
“The Silver Scream Con united horror enthusiasts and INK fans worldwide to celebrate their shared passion for on-screen terror,” Spencer said in the release. “It’s an exclusive opportunity for our dedicated followers to engage with the band and connect with the stars of the films that inspire our music. And folks better get ready, because we’ve got a lot more of your favorite horror actors, directors, and creators making plans to travel to Worcester in September, so stay tuned!”
The weekend includes photo ops, celebrity signings, costume contests, scary-oke, and discussion panels as these legends of horror share memories and nightmares of their silver screen experiences.
A highlight of Silver Scream Con features Ice Nine Kills live in concert Saturday, Sept. 14.
INK performs in New England in advance of Silver Scream Con on Aug. 4 as part of Metallica’s M72 World Tour at Gillette Stadium.
