WORCESTER—If you own a rental property in Worcester — or are thinking about jumping in — City Hall wants a Saturday morning of your time in January.
The city hosts its annual Landlord Summit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at the DCU Center, bringing together property owners, city officials and housing experts for what organizers describe as the city’s largest landlord-focused event of the year. The free event will take place at 50 Foster St., with attendees directed to enter through Door 2 and take the escalator to the third floor.
The half-day summit is designed to walk landlords through how Worcester regulates, supports and interacts with rental housing, while also offering practical guidance on everything from fire safety requirements and FEMA flood map updates to energy-efficiency rebates, environmental health standards and grant programs tied to housing preservation and rehabilitation.
According to the city’s announcement, sessions will also cover Section 8 housing opportunities, homelessness and housing policy, accessory dwelling unit permitting, and programs such as HomeBASE and RAFT. Landlords who own or are considering historic properties will also find programming tailored to the realities of maintaining older buildings in the city.
Attendees hear from City Manager Eric Batista and department heads who routinely work with property owners, alongside subject-matter experts in housing, safety, planning and finance. The event is organized by the City of Worcester Housing Development Division in partnership with MassLandlords.net and the Realtor Association of Central Massachusetts.
Registration is required but free, and can be completed online through the city’s event sign-up page.
