WORCESTER—Jonathan Lind, 28, was convicted of perjury in Worcester Superior Court for lying during the investigation into the 2018 murder of Brandon Chicklis, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

A jury found Lind guilty following a three-day trial, with deliberations lasting just over five hours. He was accused of providing false testimony to a grand jury in October 2018 about his and co-defendant Julia Enright’s actions on the day of Chicklis’ death.

“Today’s verdict is a reminder of the importance we place in the grand jury process and the oath all witnesses take before testifying,” said District Attorney Early in a statement on Thursday.

Chicklis, 20, was last seen by his family on June 23, 2018. His body was discovered weeks later along Route 119 in Rindge, NH. Enright was convicted of second-degree murder in November 2021 for her role in Chicklis’ death.

Lind was arrested in December 2021 on several charges related to the case, including the perjury charge that led to his conviction. Following the verdict, Judge Daniel Wrenn revoked Lind’s bail, and he was taken into custody. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2025.

The case involved extensive collaboration among law enforcement agencies, including the State Police Detective Unit, police departments in Ashburnham, Westminster, and Rindge, and forensic teams from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
