WORCESTER—Worcester residents have several times and places to dispose of Christmas trees. Only live Christmas trees will be accepted; yard waste and artificial trees are not.

The sites will be open during the following dates and times, weather permitting, through Jan. 7:

Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sundays (Millbury St. location only): 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drop-off sites:

  • 1065 Millbury St. (next to the VFW Post)
  • 300 Chandler St. (in the parking lot across from Foley Stadium)
  • 299 Clark St. (near the East Mountain St. intersection)

Trees should only be dropped off when city staff are present. Dropping trees off when staff and trucks are not on site is considered illegal dumping. Proof of Worcester residency is required for drop-off.

Happy new year.
