WORCESTER—The Department of Public Works & Parks announced that roadwork on Green Hill Parkway will begin on Monday, July 29.
The project extends from the entrance at Channing Street to the Park Road leading to Green Hill Golf Course and involves adding new drainage and reconstructing the road. During the construction, portions of the parkway will be closed, and access to the park and golf course will be rerouted through Belmont Street (Officer Manny Familia Way).
The work is expected to last about a month and will occasionally limit parking and access to areas within Green Hill Park, including Green Hill Farm, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the pavilion area.
An map above shows the impacted area with the blue line representing the complete closure and the red line representing where there will sometimes be full closure or daily closure depending on the work being complete
