WORCESTER—Saint Vincent Hospital has named an interim chief executive officer, according to information posted on the hospital’s website, marking another leadership change as the Worcester facility remains under heightened regulatory and public scrutiny.
Adam Bracks is listed as interim CEO of Saint Vincent Hospital and Tenet Healthcare’s Massachusetts market. No public announcement or additional details about the appointment has yet been released by the hospital or its parent company, Tenet Healthcare Corp.
The leadership change comes less than a year after Saint Vincent hired Denten Park as CEO, following the departure of Carolyn Jackson, whose resignation was announced to hospital leadership and medical staff in February 2025. In December, Tenet posted a job listing for a permanent CEO position at Saint Vincent, signaling a potential transition at the top. The position is still posted.
The hospital has faced sustained criticism and oversight in recent years, particularly from the Massachusetts Nurses Association, which has raised concerns about staffing levels, patient safety, and alleged retaliation against whistleblowers. Since 2023, the union has filed multiple complaints with state regulators, prompting repeated investigations by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
In early 2025, a joint state and federal inspection found patients at Saint Vincent were exposed to “immediate jeopardy” due to systemic safety failures, including staffing shortages and inadequate patient monitoring. Regulators later threatened to terminate the hospital’s Medicare and Medicaid funding, which accounts for the majority of its reimbursement.
Former Saint Vincent Hospital nurse Carla LeBlanc filed a whistleblower lawsuit on Aug. 1 in Worcester Superior Court against Saint Vincent Hospital and Tenet Healthcare, alleging she was wrongfully terminated after raising concerns about patient safety and staffing levels, reported the Worcester Business Journal.
