Temporary overnight parking ban in Canal District this weekend

There’s a parking ban on certain Canal District streets Sunday, overnight, to allow for workers to repaint

WORCESTER—The Department of Transportation and Mobility announced Friday that workers will be re-painting existing pavement markings in the Canal District and Green Island neighborhoods overnight beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, July 28, and ending at 5 a.m. Monday morning.

As a result, parking will be prohibited on one side of the street beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday on the following streets:

  • Harding Street (Franklin Street to Kelley Square) – No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Water Street (Franklin Street to Kelley Square)  – No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Green Street (Foster Street to Kelley Square) – No parking on the east (even #) side.
  • Millbury Street (Kelley Square to Quinsigamond Ave.) – No parking on the east (odd #) side.

Vehicles that are parked in these designated temporary No Parking zones during the overnight prohibition will be subject to towing.
