WORCESTER—The Mercantile Center in Worcester is hosting a one-of-a-kind digital art experience, “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” giving visitors the opportunity to step into the vibrant world of Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh.
This 360-degree exhibition, which has previously captivated audiences in cities worldwide and won USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award, combines digital projections, VR technology, and atmospheric light and sound to create an unforgettable journey through Van Gogh’s artistic life.
Organized by the creators of similar acclaimed exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” which runs Nov. 14 through Jan. 31, promises an immersive engagement with some of Van Gogh’s most beloved works.
Highlights include 360-degree digital displays and a virtual reality (VR) segment called “A Day in the Life of the Artist in Arles, France,” where visitors can explore eight of Van Gogh’s pieces and the inspirations behind them.
This VR experience, available for a $5 fee for standard ticket holders, allows art lovers to gain a unique perspective on the artist’s environment and techniques.
According to the event’s press release, visitors can enjoy this visually striking experience through “cutting-edge 360-degree digital projections, a one-of-a-kind VR experience, and a uniquely atmospheric light and sound show.”
Each visit lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, with accessibility features including wheelchair accommodations.
The exhibit welcomes all ages, encouraging families and groups to explore the renowned artist’s world together.
“The Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” exhibit operates Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $34.90 for adults and $27.90 for children, with discounts available for group bookings.
