WORCESTER – Matthew Erskine, managing partner of the Worcester-based law firm Erskine & Erskine, has been named a 2025 Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI), an international association for family enterprise professionals.
The designation, established in 2001, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated ongoing expertise and commitment to family businesses and family wealth. Erskine, a fourth-generation trusts and estates attorney, specializes in succession and estate planning for families with unique assets such as art, collectibles, real estate, and closely held businesses.
Erskine is a regular columnist for Forbes.com and contributes frequently to business and financial publications. He has led Erskine & Erskine since 1992, continuing a family legal tradition in Worcester County that dates back to 1876.
He will be recognized at a Fellows Breakfast on Oct. 20 during the FFI Global Conference in Boston.
A New England native with family roots in the region reaching back to the 1600s, Erskine is active in community organizations including the American Antiquarian Society and the Worcester Economics Club. He is a graduate of Carleton College and Suffolk University Law School.
