WORCESTER—A Worcester man was arrested Sunday in connection with the death of a man, also from Worcester, found in the woods of Hubbardston, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.
Ryan Wilcox, 32, has been charged with armed assault with intent to kill, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The investigation began Saturday, Jan. 4, when Hubbardston police responded to a report of a body in the woods off Brigham Street around 10 a.m. Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office joined the investigation.
The victim was identified as 32-year-old Mitchell Burke.
Wilcox is scheduled to be arraigned in Worcester Central District Court on Monday.
